Mission Statement: What Matters Most
I firmly believe that access to mental health is a matter of justice. I am committed to fostering an inclusive, affirming, and equitable space for all. I recognize the deep impact of systemic oppression, including racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of discrimination, on mental health and well-being. 1336 Therapy is dedicated to dismantling these barriers by providing therapy that is actively anti-racist and anti-oppressive and believe that being culturally responsive is a continual act of learning.
I believe in the power of healing through justice, empathy, and empowerment. My approach is rooted in intersectionality, acknowledging and honoring the diverse identities, lived experiences, and resilience of every individual. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, valued, and supported in their journey toward growth and healing.
As a professional as well as a person, I commit to continuous learning, self-reflection, and advocacy. I believe my work towards anti-racism is never complete, and am always open to continual learning, growth, and feedback. I want my clients to feel completely safe, comfortable, and confident to bring all of their different identities to therapy. I welcome you as you are and stand with you in the pursuit of wellness, and a more just world.
