Therapy
So, Therapy?
Research shows that the most impactful therapy sessions are not rooted in one specific type of therapeutic intervention, but instead the rapport you are able to build with your therapist- do you feel understood, validated, and safe to be yourself. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years of experience, I work with both children and adults struggling with various challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, self harm, suicidal ideation, relationship or parenting challenges, identity exploration, and school disruptions. Healing, while rarely linear, does not have to be isolating and my hope is that together we can create a relational space to address each complex life circumstance.
As cliche as it may sound, I always tell my clients that finding the right therapist is similar to dating: it sometimes takes trial and error before you find the right person. While I am trained in various therapeutic styles including EMDR, Animal Assisted Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and soon Brain Spotting, more than anything I believe that the best outcomes come from the ability for the therapist to create a space where a person can show up as their full, authentic self without any fear of judgment.
Traditional therapy sessions are for individuals who are located within the state of Colorado, are 60 minutes in length, and are conducted through a confidential online platform that allows you to connect from the comfort of your couch or wherever is most convenient. However, therapy does not always have to be traditional! If you are located out of state or are interested in connecting in person, check out the Coaching page for more options to connect

Children
While we would love to retain the pure innocence of childhood, the truth is that growing up can be difficult, and those challenges can start at an early age. The foundation of therapy with children is the idea that a trusting, caring relationship helps to mitigate the effects of adverse life experiences. With years of clinical experience working with children, I have an expertise in working with young ones who experience anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and school disruption as a response to life circumstances, community influence, ever changing family dynamics, or trauma.

Teens and Young Adults
The transition from childhood to adulthood is its own distinct life period, that comes with so many different stages, celebrations, and challenges. I have spent the past 8 years working with teens and young adults as they process how their current emotional state is influenced not only by their past traumas, relationships, and attachment but also by their environment, internal strengths, and goals for the future. I specialize in working with young people who have experienced trauma, hardships, or stress that now manifests in emotional distress such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse, self harm, suicidal ideation or PTSD. I pride myself in creating a space where young people can learn that their past experiences do not define their self worth and start to believe in their inherent value and wholeness.

Adults
There are times in life when often without realizing, we start to equate the term “adulting” with things such as work stress, family and parenting dynamics, challenges with substances, lack of community, managing anxiety, depression, and isolation, and overall a feeling of discontentment or confusion. And yet, being an adult has just as much possibility of being associated with joy, fulfillment, and purpose. Together, we can start to examine the relationship between our experiences, internal dialog, and relationships in order to gain a better understanding of your story and not only develop a sense of relief from current stressors, but hope for a more fulfilled future.
